I was pondering this as I started to write an update for my Barefoot At The Kitchen Table mailing list. I started with "There have been four fantastic workshops over this past week ..." and go on to talk about the new well-being one I'm doing at Llandudno Museum, the restart of the Memoirs one after it's Easter break and the two that I am now doing at Gwrych Castle. But it got me thinking "what makes something a success?" and Why am I saying these workshops have been fantastic?
Last Thursday the Gwrych Writing Group started back after my Easter break. It was exciting to have one person return from before the break ready and eager to write - and a message from another previous participant to say she will be returning when she gets back from dog sitting.
We also have a new session. As well as the afternoon session of 1.30 to 3pm there is now a 6.30-8pm group. If there are spaces it is possible for a few to move between the two groups to work around commitments.
Tuesday 9th May was the first of 7 weeks of Releasing the Legend workshops. It was a great group of four lovely ladies who enriched the material by their discussion and comments.
There are still spaces so feel free to get in touch and come to join us. Either email email@example.com or text me on 07792460329
Each participant received a pack with dates of the workshops, an overview of the twelve archetypes, and the poems Welsh Landscape and Bright Field. These packs will be added to each week with more poems, guidance "rules" for the sessions and other bits and pieces. So if you did not make the first session you will be able to catch up as you will receive the full pack at whatever stage you join us.
